Continue our first thematic unit: coming of age. We finished reading the short story last week. We will continue to explore, and discuss the essential questions, explore vocabulary, and analyze characterization, conflict, and theme. We also analyzed the symbolism in the story, using Doodle and the scarlet ibis. Be sure to look at the vocabulary, study guide, symbolism, T-chart characterizations, and theme and dynamic character attachments for review.
